He's not exactly the most caring when it comes to other droids - there was a period in the Clone Wars where he'd made disassembling them into a specialty - but when it comes to the EG-6s, he's entirely on team. They are the most inoffensive of robotic lifeforms, their only purpose to make others' lives a bit easier by providing power where needed. Who can object to that?
He also enjoys this droid's style. No obvious weapons, directly into the path of two Devaronians? Well done. Bold as brass. Which is why when he spots the human aiming to throw a bit of masonry at her, he reaches out, gripping the man's shoulder until there's a cracking sound, and the man drops, gasping to try to even get enough air to enunciate his pain.
